About Us

Our programme reflects the principles, strands, goals and learning outcomes of the Early Childhood Education curriculum document Te Whāriki. This celebrates the uniqueness of each child and the interests and dynamics of the group and social work.

Our motivated and experienced teaching team provide an educational environment where nature and sustainability is valued and shared with our whānau. We embrace our commitment to the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and acknowledge and welcome the increasing cultural diversity of the Mid Canterbury district.

We are licensed for 50 children (from ages 5 months to school entry).

Vision Statement

Phoenix Preschool INC is a community where every child belongs and is given every opportunity to grow as an individual “Ki te kore ngā pūtake e mākūkūngia, e kore te rākau e tupu – If the roots of the tree are not watered, the tree will never grow”
